The Brief

A 2.5 ton, 4.3m high, hyper-realistic sculpture of a homeless man, installed at London Kings Cross and Birmingham’s Bullring.

The Constraints

Homelessness charity Crisis were working with creative agency Adam & Eve DDB to show that homelessness was becoming ‘Impossible to Ignore’. They needed a bold statement to bring the campaign to life.

How We Produced It

A powerful combination of coordination, management and creative leadership. We brought together and directed artists, engineers, creative agencies and producers to deliver a technically immense project with a sustainable and environmentally aware build.‍

To ensure legal and ethical compliance, we used AI face-mapping technology to create a composite face made up of seventeen different homeless people. We then used architectural and sculptural contractors to build a sufficiently robust ‘skeleton’ before commissioning artist Sophie De Oliveira Barata to execute the hyper-realistic detailing and finish. Sustainable materials and techniques were used throughout the build and installation process.

‘Planning a wedding across cities, time zones, and languages felt impossible—until Chantelle and Kiss Me in Paris made our Plaza Athénée celebration unforgettable. Her Paris connections and calm coordination built a dream team and kept everything on track.’
