Aydan thought Mitch had arranged a private after-hours tour of Musée Jacquemart-André. He had. The proposal was waiting behind the final doors. Four paintings from their life together, La Vie en rose on violin in the Winter Garden, and dinner for two in the Grand Salon.

The Night
The day before, an invitation arrived at their hotel: a printed card illustrated with the museum, inviting them to a private after-hours visit. A car brought them to Jacquemart-André, where an English-speaking guide led them through the mansion, recounting the story of Édouard André and Nélie Jacquemart and the collection they built together.
Then she opened the doors to the Winter Garden.
White flowers lined the marble staircase. Candlelight traced the floor. Tatevik played La Vie en rose. Four portraits of Mitch and Aydan stood on gilded easels. Mitch knelt. Aydan said yes. Champagne and photographs followed beneath the glass roof. Dinner for two waited in the Grand Salon.
Why Jacquemart-André
An Eiffel Tower terrace gives you the skyline. A château gives you gardens and scale. Jacquemart-André gave Mitch a former private home in central Paris, an art collection, and a route from tour to proposal to dinner without changing venue.
Édouard André commissioned the mansion in the 1870s. He later married Nélie Jacquemart, a portraitist, and they devoted their married life to expanding the collection that still hangs on its walls. Their history gave the private tour its ending, and the four paintings a reason to be there.
The Winter Garden
A marble room under a glass roof, opening onto a double staircase, with the height to carry a floral installation. White flowers rose with the architecture rather than covering it, while candlelight warmed the marble, mirrors, and glass. It is a decidedly theatrical room.

The Paintings
Mitch wanted Aydan to walk into their shared history.
Nadia, one of our planners, painted four scenes from their life together by hand, framed them, and set them on gilded easels among the flowers. When the doors opened, Aydan found their own memories waiting inside a house built around art.
After the evening, all four canvases, 35 by 50 centimeters, flew home with them in a portfolio Nadia provided.
The Ring
The ring was a toi et moi design: a cushion-cut ruby and a pear-shaped diamond, framed in pavé and set in rose gold. It sat under glass on a clear column, lit like another object in the collection.
How We Built It
Animated sheets of paper, featuring images such as concept drawings, watercolors, and pages of script, feature prominently across the experience. To add visual interest, we wanted each piece of paper to have its own unique movement. To achieve this, we created a reusable component that allowed us to animate each piece of paper individually. The subtle differences in motion made the sheets feel like a natural component of the environment.

Kiss Me in Paris plans, designs, and produces luxury marriage proposals, elopements, and destination weddings in Paris, across France, and beyond.
We have produced more than 1,500 events since 2013, hold a 4.9 on Google from 650+ reviews, and have appeared in 84+ outlets across 25 countries. We also offer [Paris photography and film] on their own, and we arrange private travel around the events we plan.
Who will we be working with?
You work directly with one named English-speaking lead planner who remains your main contact from the consultation through the event.
Your planner is assigned according to the scope, date, language, and fit. She runs your calls, learns how you make decisions, keeps the full plan in view, and brings in the specialists the event requires: design, production, photography, film, and guest logistics.
You have her direct WhatsApp and always know who is responsible.
Can we plan the entire event from abroad?
Yes. A proposal or elopement can be planned entirely from another country, and a wedding can too.
We work over WhatsApp, video calls, email, or phone, whichever suits you. There is no required number of trips.
Wedding couples who come to Paris usually build the visit around venue tours, catering and cake tastings, beauty trials, vendor meetings, and gown fittings. We group the appointments so the trip is worth the flight.
When you cannot come, we go in your place and report back with notes, photographs, and video.
How far in advance should we plan?
There is no fixed minimum; we have produced a private Shangri-La Paris proposal the day after the first message came in.
That was an exceptional turnaround, not a promise that any production can be built overnight. A few weeks or months give us broader venue and vendor availability, steadier pricing, and more time to develop the personal details. Elopements follow the same pattern: the ceremony, beauty team, flowers, and photography come together quickly, and more time means more choice.
Weddings often begin more than a year ahead because venues, guest travel, tastings, fittings, and the surrounding events all benefit from more lead time.
Tell us your date, however close it is, and we will tell you honestly what can still be done.
What are my options for an Eiffel Tower proposal?
You can choose a private rooftop, a palace-hotel terrace, a Seine yacht, or a public viewpoint with a clear Eiffel Tower view.
Private settings give us greater control over access, privacy, timing, music, design, photography, and the weather plan. Public locations cost less, but you share them with tourists, photographers, traffic, and curious bystanders.
After dark the Tower sparkles at the top of the hour, and we time the question or the first toast to it. Blue hour gives photographs their strongest color. We plan the evening backward from both.
How much does a Paris proposal cost?
There is no single price for a Paris proposal; the setting, exclusivity, design, entertainment, and guest logistics determine the total.
A public viewpoint with photography is usually the least expensive route. A private rooftop, palace terrace, or Seine yacht with design, dinner, and music carries a larger budget. Château productions with entertainment, fireworks, drone shows, aerial filming, or guest transport go further.
Our full-service proposal planning fee starts at €1,200 or 15% of the budget under management, whichever is greater. Ready-to-reserve proposal packages have published prices and fixed inclusions.

The planning fee covers concept development, budget management, vendor research and negotiation, schedules, and direction on the day.
Venue, flowers, entertainment, photography, film, transport, dining, and accommodation are quoted separately. You approve those costs before anything is confirmed.

Do you plan weddings and elopements outside Paris?
Yes. Paris and the châteaux around it are at the center of our work, and we also plan across France and selected destinations abroad.
In France, that includes château weekends near Paris, weddings on the Côte d’Azur, and proposals in the lavender fields of Provence. We have also planned proposals in destinations including Venice, Santorini, Cappadocia, Aspen, and London.
International destination weddings are rarer and often for couples whose proposal we first planned. When the scope supports it, we bring the planning and production team. For a smaller event, we may work with a local planner we trust or advise the local team on the concept, schedule, and vendors.
Send us the destination. If we are not the right team for it, we will say so.
How do you protect the surprise and keep our event private?
Discretion is standard, and nothing we produce is published without your written permission.
For a surprise, the WhatsApp group gets a neutral name, confirmations go to an email address you choose, and arrivals are planned so nothing gives the proposal away.
Planners, vendors, photographers, filmmakers, editors, printers, and album-production teams follow the same confidentiality instructions. Formal NDAs are available when required.
Some couples share their photographs afterward. Others prefer that the work never appear online. The surprise belongs to you, and so does the decision about who sees it.
