Shangri-La Paris Proposal on a Private Eiffel Tower Terrace
From the right private terrace at Shangri-La Paris, the Eiffel Tower rises almost full height directly ahead. The second the doors open, it fills the view without forcing the photographer into a wide-angle frame.
The terrace comes with an eligible Eiffel-view room or suite reserved for the night. Shangri-La is one of the few Paris proposal venues where the question, the first dinner as fiancés, and the first night as an engaged couple can all happen at the same address.
Kiss Me in Paris starts with your budget and how central Shangri-La should be to the evening. We then recommend the room or suite with the right Eiffel Tower angle, terrace size, access, interior layout, and level of prestige for the reveal, the photographs and film, and what follows after the yes.

Propose, dine, and stay at one address
We plan around three decisions: where the question is asked, where the couple has their first dinner as fiancés, and where they spend their first night engaged.
For a private hotel proposal in Paris, Shangri-La can answer all three. The proposal takes place on the terrace. The first toast and dinner can follow outside under the Eiffel Tower. The couple then steps back into the same room or suite for the night.
You can also propose here, leave for portraits or dinner, and return later. Shangri-La leaves that choice open.
Why couples choose Shangri-La Paris
The Eiffel Tower fills the view
From the right terraces, the Eiffel Tower is enormous. It stands directly behind the couple for the proposal, first toast, and dinner.
The photographer can stand back at a flattering focal length while the Tower remains large in the frame. Faces and proportions stay natural, and the Tower looks as imposing in the photographs as it did when the doors opened.
Palace service, private space, and room to work
Unrelated hotel guests do not share the terrace. Kiss Me in Paris coordinates hotel access, vendor arrivals, setup, photography, film, music, dinner service, and removal around the schedule.
Most larger terraces comfortably accommodate the couple, photographer, filmmaker, musicians, floral design, and a dinner table. Smaller categories suit a tighter plan. The accommodation should be chosen around the proposal, not from a rate sheet alone.
Your room or suite determines the proposal
A private Shangri-La terrace is not rented by the hour. It comes with an eligible Eiffel-view room or suite reserved overnight.
The Paris Panoramic Signature Room, duplex suites, and La Suite Shangri-La differ in price, Eiffel Tower angle, terrace size, access, interior layout, and prestige. We first set the budget and decide how much of the evening should happen at Shangri-La. Then we recommend the accommodation that fits those priorities.
Once you approve the category, Kiss Me in Paris can arrange the reservation with the hotel as part of the planning.
The largest suite does not always have the best view
Some terraces give a broader panorama. Others bring the Eiffel Tower closer or place it at a more dramatic angle.
We select for what your partner sees when the doors open, what the camera records, and how much space the rest of the plan requires.
More terrace space changes the design and camera distance
More space creates a clear approach to the proposal setting, gives the floral team room without blocking the Tower, and leaves space for musicians and dinner.
It also lets the photographer and filmmaker stand farther back. That gives the couple greater privacy and allows flattering focal lengths rather than a wide-angle lens forced by a tight terrace.
Access and interior layout shape the reveal
The route into the room, the terrace doors, and the first sightline outside all matter.
The interior can hide family before the yes, serve as a rain alternative, and receive the couple after dinner. In the right suite, the rooms can be prepared again while the couple is away.
What a Shangri-La Paris proposal costs
Most full-service Shangri-La Paris proposals start at €10,000 or more. The room or suite creates the largest price swing, and the gap between eligible categories can reach five figures before production is added.
The budget includes:
The eligible room or suite and hotel charges
The proposal setting and floral design
Photography and film
Live musicians and approved entertainment
Dinner, champagne, and service
Transportation and guest arrangements

Kiss Me in Paris planning
Kiss Me in Paris planning starts at €1,200 or 15% of the budget under management, whichever is greater.
We do not publish fixed Shangri-La package tiers. Rates change by category, date, and season, and production can range from restrained to substantial. We quote the plan after we understand the priorities, then you approve the relevant costs before anything is confirmed.

A cover that fits the couple
The cover is built around the couple’s plans, habits, and personalities. It should be credible, fun, and within character.
We bring the couple into an untouched room before the setup, then get them out long enough for the team to transform the terrace and interiors before they return.
The first toast
The first champagne toast normally happens on the terrace within minutes of the yes, with the new ring and Eiffel Tower in the same frame.
Some couples keep it quiet. Others want a podium-style champagne spray and a save-the-date photograph.
Dinner on the terrace
Most couples who reserve an Eiffel Tower terrace dine outside. Dinner is served by a private butler, with heaters and blankets available in colder months.
In late spring and summer, we time the proposal, portraits, Eiffel Tower sparkle, and dinner service together. That protects the terrace experience without leaving dinner to chance.
The first night as an engaged couple
The couple can stay at Shangri-La for the full evening or leave for a restaurant, the Eiffel Tower summit, or another part of Paris and return later.
Time away can give the team a second preparation window, so the room or suite looks different when the couple comes back.
From the room to the private terrace
This short film shows the terrace doors opening, the Eiffel Tower directly ahead, the space available for the proposal, and the change from proposal setting to dinner.

Peninsula Paris proposal questions
CAN YOU PROPOSE AT THE PENINSULA PARIS?
Yes. Kiss Me in Paris plans private proposals at the Secret Table and the Rooftop Garden Suite.
The right setting depends on whether you want a rooftop for two, an overnight suite, family nearby, dinner on site, and a hotel stay after the proposal.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SECRET TABLE AND ROOFTOP GARDEN SUITE?
The decision starts with the booking. The Secret Table begins with a private rooftop dining experience and does not require a hotel stay. The Rooftop Garden Suite begins with an overnight suite and gives the room, staircase, roof garden, and terrace dinner a role in the proposal.
DO YOU NEED TO STAY AT THE PENINSULA TO PROPOSE THERE?
No for the Secret Table. The Rooftop Garden Suite requires an overnight suite booking.
The couple can still leave after dinner and sleep at another hotel.
CAN DINNER FOLLOW THE PROPOSAL?
Yes. Dinner can follow through L’Oiseau Blanc at the Secret Table or on the private roof garden when the
Rooftop Garden Suite service plan is arranged in advance.
The couple can also dine elsewhere and return to their hotel later.
CAN DINNER FOLLOW THE PROPOSAL?
Yes. Family can wait nearby and join after the yes when the guest plan and hotel access are coordinated in advance.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER CHANGES?
The answer depends on the setting. Under the hotel’s current terms, unsuitable conditions lead to another date or a table at L’Oiseau Blanc, depending on availability and the booking. The Rooftop Garden Suite gives the proposal an interior sequence, while the roof garden still needs a weather plan.
HOW MUCH DOES A PENINSULA PARIS PROPOSAL COST?
The Secret Table and Rooftop Garden Suite have different cost structures. One starts from a private rooftop dining booking; the other starts from an overnight suite.
Kiss Me in Paris planning starts at €1,200 or 15% of the budget under management, whichever is greater. Production is quoted separately.
