A Private Secret Table Proposal Above a 26-Guest Family Celebration
Christina thought she was joining relatives and friends for drinks on the L’Oiseau Blanc terrace before dinner.
One floor above, Vahe had the Secret Table ready with harp, violin, a white rose heart, pale petals over a white carpet, and the Eiffel Tower behind him. After she said yes, the private proposal opened into a 28-person celebration that moved through Paris by chauffeured fleet to a private Seine yacht and dinner near the Arc de Triomphe.

The Evening
Twenty-six relatives and friends had traveled to Paris from three continents. Christina knew they were in the city and believed the evening began with drinks together on the open terrace of L’Oiseau Blanc before dinner nearby. While she settled in with the group and champagne, the Secret Table was being prepared one floor above.
A white carpet carried the floral setting, with ivory petals, a white rose heart marking the proposal position, and soft pink and pale florals framing the terrace without hiding the Eiffel Tower. Marjorie and Santiago waited nearby with harp and violin, positioned to let the music fill the rooftop while keeping Vahe, Christina, and the Tower clear for photographs. A few minutes after arriving, Vahe suggested they leave for photographs, and a hostess led them upstairs through the private staircase. There, Vahe stood before Christina, told her what she meant to him, opened the ring box, and asked her to marry him. She said yes.
Champagne was ready for their first toast, and for a short time, the rooftop belonged only to them. Their parents then joined them upstairs for photographs before Vahe and Christina returned to L’Oiseau Blanc, where the larger family celebration was waiting.

The Challenge
Vahe’s plan joined two different operations: a private rooftop proposal above a live family gathering, then moving twenty-eight people from the hotel to assigned cars, a private Seine yacht, and dinner near the Arc de Triomphe on one schedule.
A believable family gathering
The cover did not need an invented event. The family had traveled to Paris and was gathering for drinks before dinner. Christina saw the group, greeted them, and settled in without searching for another plan.

Privacy one floor above
The Secret Table carried the proposal for two. The family stayed on the L’Oiseau Blanc terrace below. A brief departure for photographs moved the couple upstairs without turning the staircase into a group procession or revealing the rooftop in advance.

A setting that kept the Eiffel Tower clear
The Secret Table is intimate. The carpet, rose heart, florals, musicians, photography, film, and couple needed fixed positions before Christina arrived.
The white carpet gave the pale-petal design a clean base and protected the wooden rooftop. The floral height was set around the Eiffel Tower sightline. The harp and violin remained at the edge of the principal frame.

Moving twenty-eight people through Paris
The family celebration continued well beyond The Peninsula.
The couple, parents, and guests had to leave the hotel, reach Port Debilly, board the private yacht, complete the river cruise, and arrive at dinner on time. Assigned vehicles and one master schedule kept the group together.
How We Planned the Evening
01 · The family became the cover
Relatives and friends gathered on the L’Oiseau Blanc terrace before Christina arrived. The visible plan was true: drinks first, dinner later.
02 · The couple moved upstairs
After Christina settled in, Vahe suggested a few photographs. The hostess took them to the private staircase while the family remained below.
03 · Music, florals, photography, and film had fixed positions
The floral setting kept the Eiffel Tower open behind the couple. Marjorie and Santiago played from the side. Photography and film had planned working angles before the couple reached the rooftop.
04 · The proposal stayed private through the first toast
Vahe asked Christina on the Secret Table. The parents joined only after the proposal and first toast.
05 · The family celebration began below
The couple returned to L’Oiseau Blanc, where the full group was waiting. Champagne and photographs brought the private proposal and family gathering together.

The Result
Christina arrived for family drinks. Minutes later, she was one floor above them with Vahe, live harp and violin, a white rose heart, and the Eiffel Tower behind him.
The parents joined first. The larger group celebrated below. Then twenty-eight people moved through the rest of the evening without losing its pace.
Christina did not know the evening belonged to her until Vahe took her upstairs.
Why the Secret Table?
The Secret Table and L’Oiseau Blanc gave Vahe two levels of the same hotel for two different purposes.
Above, the rooftop carried the proposal for two. Below, the restaurant terrace gave the family a comfortable place to gather without entering the proposal.
The staircase connected privacy to celebration. Christina spent time with her family, left for photographs, reached a rooftop she had not expected, and returned after the yes.

Questions We Hear First
CAN KISS ME IN PARIS PLAN A SECRET TABLE PROPOSAL LIKE THIS ONE?
Yes. We plan and produce private Secret Table proposals at The Peninsula Paris end to end, built around the couple rather than a template.
Vahe and Christina’s evening is one version of what’s possible; yours would be designed around your relationship, your timing, and your budget.
CAN TWENTY-SIX FAMILY MEMBERS WAIT NEARBY WITHOUT GIVING AWAY THE SURPRISE?
Yes. When the room layout allows it, family can gather one floor below and stay out of the couple’s sightline until after the proposal.
For Vahe and Christina, that meant the L’Oiseau Blanc terrace beneath the Secret Table, in plain sight of Christina and out of her suspicion.
WHO PHOTOGRAPHED AND FILMED THIS PROPOSAL?
Cengiz photographed and Julia filmed for Kiss Me in Paris.
They know the Secret Table’s angles and light, so the couple, the ring, and the Eiffel Tower stayed clear in the photographs and the film.
HOW DO YOU KEEP A PROPOSAL SECRET WITH FAMILY ALREADY ON SITE?
It starts with a cover your partner believes, and a team that stays quiet before, during, and after.
For high profile and private clients, that includes holding photos and film back from social media until the couple says otherwise, and signing NDAs when it matters.
HOW MUCH DOES A PROPOSAL LIKE THIS COST?
The total depends on the room, the florals, the music, the photography and film, the transport, and the evening that follows.
Our full-service proposal planning fee starts at €1,200 or 15% of the budget under management, whichever is greater. Production costs are quoted separately, and you approve them before anything is confirmed.
